ALERGIC RASH

The term ‘Rash’ widely means the occurrence of red bumps on the body. Rashes can also refer to various other skin conditions. The rashes are rarely of dangerous type yet self diagnosis is not advisable anyway. Thorough assessment of the skin rashes by the medical professional is highly required. The rashes usually involve changes in the color or texture of the skin. Skin redness or inflammation, skin lesions, erythema is worth considering avoiding future complications. The cause of rashes could be determined from its apparent features and other symptoms.

Common causes: Rash is also called dermatitis which means the inflammation of the skin. Contact dermatitis could be caused by the substances touched by the skin, like: dyes or other chemicals in the clothing, chemicals contained in the elastic, latex or other rubber products, various cheap quality cosmetics, soaps or detergents. Certain foods like peanut or dairy products may also cause alergic skin rashes.

Other common causes of rash also include: eczema – Atopic dermatitis which is likely to occur in people with allergies or asthma. The rashes usually are red, itchy and scaly. Psoriasis usually occurs as red, scaly, itchy patches especially over joints along the scalp. Even fingernails may be affected.

Impetigo is common in children and is caused by bacteria that live in top layers of the skin. It appears as red sores turning into blisters, drip and then coating over. Shingles are painful blister conditions of the skin caused by viruses as chickenpox. Besides all these, certain medications and insect bites or stings may also cause skin rashes.

The best remedy for the disorder is detecting and averting the allergen causing such conditions.
