The term ‘Rash’ widely means the occurrence of red bumps on
the body. Rashes can also refer to various other skin
conditions. The rashes are rarely of dangerous type yet self
diagnosis is not advisable anyway. Thorough assessment of
the skin rashes by the medical professional is highly
required. The rashes usually involve changes in the color or
texture of the skin. Skin redness or inflammation, skin
lesions, erythema is worth considering avoiding future
complications. The cause of rashes could be determined from
its apparent features and other symptoms.
Common causes: Rash is also called dermatitis which means
the inflammation of the skin. Contact dermatitis could be
caused by the substances touched by the skin, like: dyes or
other chemicals in the clothing, chemicals contained in the
elastic, latex or other rubber products, various cheap
quality cosmetics, soaps or detergents. Certain foods like
peanut or dairy products may also cause alergic skin rashes.
Other common causes of rash also include: eczema – Atopic
dermatitis which is likely to occur in people with allergies
or asthma. The rashes usually are red, itchy and scaly.
Psoriasis usually occurs as red, scaly, itchy patches
especially over joints along the scalp. Even fingernails may
be affected.
Impetigo is common in children and is caused by
bacteria that live in top layers of the skin. It appears as
red sores turning into blisters, drip and then coating over.
Shingles are painful blister conditions of the skin caused
by viruses as chickenpox. Besides all these, certain
medications and insect bites or stings may also cause skin
rashes.
The best remedy for the disorder is detecting and averting
the allergen causing such conditions.
